Che Noir is an American rapper and record producer from Buffalo, New York. She began producing at 15 and rapping at 16, built a recording studio in Niagara Falls, and is known for direct lyrics over beats inspired by mid-1990s East Coast rap.
Background
In 2018 she signed to 38 Spesh’s label Trust Comes First, and in 2020 she founded her own independent label, Poetic Movement. AllMusic’s Paul Simpson describes her lyrics as direct and her production as shaped by 1990s East Coast hip-hop. She was nominated in the Adult Contemporary Hip Hop category at the 2023 Hollywood Independent Music Awards.
