KIARABABA is a German female rapper who broke through on TikTok in 2025. Her debut single “Yannick” turned an almost unknown newcomer into one of the most talked-about names in German rap within a few months.
How she broke through
“Yannick” was released on 1 May 2025 and was written by KIARABABA together with DeeVoe and JayO. At that point her TikTok account had only around 8,000 followers. The song took off further after Shirin David used it in a promotional video, according to Musikexpress. The magazine also reports that “Sie ist mein Bruder,” released in August 2025, reached number two on the German TikTok charts within a week, behind Beyoncé’s “All Night,” and that “Yannick” and “Deine Haare” had passed two and three million plays respectively.
Raptastisch reports that the label Chapter One signed her after her first viral snippets. In a July 2026 interview with Hiphop.de she talked about her rapid rise, the real events behind the scam story told in her biggest hit, her youth in several group homes between Solingen and the Ruhr region, and how she more or less negotiated her own record deal.
Sound and style
Musikexpress placed her outside the feminist rap lane often associated with German female rappers and closer to the tradition of the rapper SSIO: blunt, humorous and built around short, catchy hooks that work well as TikTok clips. Her songs are explicit, so listener discretion is advised.
