ANNA (Anna Pepe) is a rapper and songwriter from La Spezia, Italy, who became the youngest artist to top the Italian singles chart with “Bando” in 2020 and released her debut album Vera Baddie in June 2024.
Background
ANNA began posting freestyle videos on YouTube in 2018. Her debut single, “Bando”, was withdrawn shortly after release over a copyright claim on a sampled beat; after signing with Virgin Records she secured the rights and re-released it in January 2020, when it spent three weeks at number one in Italy.
Releases
Her debut EP Lista 47 was certified gold in Italy. “Vetri neri” with Ava and Capo Plaza became her best-selling song (five times platinum), and “Everyday” with Takagi & Ketra, Geolier and Shiva debuted at number one. In 2024 she released “I Got It” through Republic Records, then Vera Baddie, which spent nine consecutive weeks at number one on the Italian album chart; its single “30°C” topped the singles chart. Billboard Italia named her Woman of the Year in September 2024, and she opened for Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour. Her second album, Million Dollar Babe, was released on 10 July 2026.
