Coi Leray is a rapper and singer from Boston, raised in Hackensack, New Jersey, whose debut album Trendsetter (2022) was followed by the top-ten hit “Players”.
Background
Coi Leray posted her first songs on YouTube in 2011, paused, and returned in 2018 with the SoundCloud single “G.A.N.”, then “Huddy” and the mixtape Everythingcoz. She signed with 1801 Records and Republic Records, which released the mixtape EC2 in January 2019.
Releases
“No More Parties” (January 2021) was her first Hot 100 entry and was certified platinum, and “Blick Blick” with Nicki Minaj peaked at No. 37 in 2022. Her debut album Trendsetter arrived in April 2022; “Players” (November 2022) peaked at No. 9, and the album Coi followed in June 2023. EPs include Now or Never (2020), Blue Moon (2023), Lemon Cars (2024) and What Happened to Forever? (2025).
She joined XXL’s 2021 Freshman Class and received two Grammy nominations in 2024, for “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” with David Guetta and Anne-Marie and for “Players”.
