Prince Waly (Moussa Magassa) was a French rapper from Montreuil, Seine-Saint-Denis. He died on Sunday 4 October 2026, at the age of 34, as reported by 75 Secondes and L’Éclaireur. This page remembers his music.
Background
Prince Waly began in the group Big Budha Cheez, where, according to 75 Secondes, he developed a cinematic visual universe. L’Éclaireur dates the start of his career to 2012 with the album Ma routine roule à M.City. From the late 2010s he released solo projects and worked with artists including Myth Syzer, Dinos, Freeze Corleone and Alpha Wann.

Moussa was chosen by the 18–20-year-old jury of the 2023 Prix Joséphine des artistes, as Numéro reported. He performed at the Flammes ceremony in May 2023 and at the Cité de la musique in Paris in January 2025.
