Didi B is an Ivorian rapper, singer and actor from Abidjan, one of the leading names of Ivorian hip hop.
Background
Didi B began as a child actor, taking the lead in the 2006 film Les Frères Kadogo, and formed the rap group Kiff No Beat in 2009. According to Wikipedia, Kiff No Beat signed to Universal Music in 2017, the first African hip hop group on the label, and he signed with 92i Africa, the African branch of Booba’s label, in 2021.
Releases and milestones
His second solo album Mojotrône II: History (2022) was his breakthrough, and “Tala” won Song of the Year at the AFRIMA awards in January 2023. He released Bazarhoff & Diyilem in April 2025 ahead of a concert at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on 3 May 2025; Wikipedia describes him as the only Ivorian rapper to have filled it.
